A new CD-Rom has been launched that is aimed specifically at educating female motorists.

Car Care For Us Girls is an interactive training course designed to help rookie car mechanics keep their pride and joy running smoothly.

Using video tutorials, the guide offers step-by-step lessons on everything from general car care to emergency situations.

Starting with a day-to-day maintenance guide, which includes the upkeep of tyres, oil and coolant levels, the CD-Rom then goes through a group of common basic problems such as alternator failure, fuel problems and distributor cap faults.

What to do in an emergency, how keep your car secure and a buying and selling checklist follow before the guide concludes with a comprehensive car quiz to test how much information the viewer has absorbed.
