Toilet block approved at Brandesburton caravan site

A new toilet and shower block has been approved for a Brandesburton caravan park, according to a local news source.

The Beverley Guardian has reported that the facilities are to be installed at after planning permission was given by East Riding Council to Cheyne Lodge.

It added that the feature is to go ahead despite protests from two local residents, who stated that its development will cause flooding.

People who vehicles are damaged by such a problem may find that they have to claim on their caravan insurance policies in such an incident.

However, a report from planning officers has stated that there is no flooding potential caused by the construction.

"It is considered that with an appropriate landscaping scheme in place, the proposed building will not have a detrimental impact upon the character of the area, nor will it increase the risk of flooding in the vicinity," the report read.

Meanwhile, the Northumberland Gazette has reported that traffic in Whitton, Rothbury could be alleviated by the expansion of Coquetdale Caravan Park in order to allow for extra static vehicles.
