Norfolk caravan sites need for safety reiterated

Council officials in Norfolk have once again outlined the need for greater park safety and security across the region, it has been reported.

The Norfolk Eastern Daily Press has stated that one site in the area still uses a handbell and a stirrup pump for its fire drill.

Indeed, this may not be appreciated by visitors to the unnamed park who are looking to save on their caravan insurance policies by avoiding vehicle damage.

Chris Cawley, environmental health manager for North Norfolk district council, related to local councillors that more needs to be done to get sites up-to-scratch, the news source added.

He said that while a number of the best parks in the locality are very well run, a number need to "move on", as there are many which are below-par and in need of improvement.

This latest development follows on from a report from environmental health officers in the region which was reported by North Norfolk News.

According to the news source, the paper stated: "Whilst standards prevailing were generally satisfactory, some action is needed in several sites."
