Strength of euro 'should be considered by holidaymakers'
Holidaymakers in the UK looking to head to Europe in their caravan should consider the strength of the euro before finalising their trip, a consumer holidays company has claimed.
An expert from Travelsupermarket.com has claimed that caravanners could be paying more for their trips to the continent in the next year due to the rising value of the currency.
It may be that taking out a caravan insurance policy which covers any eventuality could also prove more expensive, but holidaymakers could be taking a risk if they do not pay such cover.
According to Kayte Williams, holidays manager at the consumer holiday company, people should "wait to see what happens" before deciding on their destination this summer.
"We are currently aware that with the euro we're getting slightly less for our money nowadays and I think that's going to be in consideration when we're planning a holiday," said the expert.
Meanwhile, TravelMole has stated that Europe is currently being superseded by African countries such as Egypt and Tunisia among British holidaymakers looking for a trip away.
