Popularity of traditional holiday destinations 'strong'

The popularity of traditional holiday sites among people heading away from the UK remains strong, according to a travel company.

First Choice has stated that locations such as Spain, Egypt and Cyprus are still in demand among holidaymakers.

Caravan owners looking to head to Spain could consider staying at the new Tarifa development in the south-west of the country - a 66-acre site just 30 minutes from Gibraltar airport.

But tourists may also want to consider taking out a thorough caravan insurance policy, in order to ensure their vehicle is protected in the event of an accident.

Those whose caravans are damaged could also find that they have difficulty picking up a cover policy in the future, as firms may judge them to be a negligent owner and increase prices.

A spokesperson for First Choice commented: "Demand for package holidays is strong...for traditional destinations such as Spain, Cyprus and Egypt."

Other caravan sites in Spain that could be considered by visitors to the country include Almadea, Almeria and Alicante.

Alicante is open throughout the year and allows people staying at the site to bring their pets with them.
