Self-catering 'a good option' for families
A self-catering option may be useful for families heading on a caravan holiday this year.
Travel company the Association of Independent Tour Operation (AITO) has remarked that large groups heading away could keep costs to a minimum by choosing to make their own food arrangements.
And by doing so it may be that families save money which can be spent on taking out a thorough caravan insurance policy.
Speaking on behalf of the AITO, a spokesperson commented that the self-catering holiday is coming back into fashion among travellers.
"People with younger children are starting to travel as well and self-catering overseas is certainly an attractive option for them. I probably would never have dreamed of self-catering but now it's certainly attractive," commented the official.
Meanwhile, the Express & Star has reported on a man who has not become tired of taking a caravan holiday, despite the fact that he has millions of pounds.
John Radford, who scooped in excess of £5 million on the Lotto with his friend, still enjoys motor home trips, the news source added.
