Motorhome lifestyle 'a great way to holiday'
The motorhome is an ideal alternative for holidaymakers seeking comfortable mobile accommodation without the hassle of sleeping bags or tents, it has been claimed.
Models such as the Mercedes DeZine double as both a people carrier and a camper, and so can be used to cart the family from place to place even when not on holiday.
Emma Brittain, writing for coventrytelegraph.net, says: "The best thing with a motorhome is that you can pull up at every beauty spot, pop the kettle on and take in the views, without ever leaving the vehicle and putting yourself at the mercy of the weather.
"And if you hear that nicer weather is predicted 20 miles down the coast, you haven't got to pack everything away and fold up the tent before moving on - you can literally chase the sun," Ms Brittain adds.
The DeZine comes with four beds and a kitchen with gas hobs and a spacious freezer. With two of the beds accessible through a pop-top roof, there is room to stand below.
Holidaymakers who do choose to make use of a motorhome should make sure they have adequate caravan insurance before they travel, to be prepared for any mishaps on the road. Motorhome insurance can be quite expensive as the vehicle is exposed to the risks of the road, so shop around for the best deals.
