Caravan travellers advised to take care

Caravan holidaymakers and motorists have been advised by the AA to take extra care when travelling on UK roads during the bank holiday weekend.

The average end-of-May bank holiday road journey totals 304 miles, the AA reported, with more than 18 million motorists set to take to the roads this weekend.

Today (Friday May 23rd), traffic is set to increase by 33 per cent, which could result in delays averaging around 30 minutes. The bank holiday Monday is also set to be a busy day on the roads, as many motorists will be returning home after spending the weekend away.

Caravan Insurance

Caravan insurance customers planning to take to the roads this weekend may be interested in the results of a new survey undertaken by elephant.co.uk.

The poll of over one thousand motorists indicated that Mr Brightside is the favourite driving song for UK motorists - a modern departure from the '70s and '80s classics that dominated the top ten list.

Other tracks holidaymakers may be playing while caught in traffic this weekend include Bonnie Tyler's Holding Out For A Hero, Paradise City by Guns N' Roses, Phil Collins' In The Air Tonight and Eye Of The Tiger by Survivor.
