Jackpot couple plan to splash out on caravan
A couple from Suffolk who have won the Lotto jackpot are planning to buy a new caravan with their winnings, it has been reported.
Stan and Pat Cable picked up £3.9 million in the draw and have said that they will be buying a new caravan for breaks away from their two-bedroom council property in Eye, the Mirror has reported.
The vehicles are popular among Lotto winners, according to organisers Camelot, with 22 per cent of people who scoop more than £1 million picking a caravan or campervan, the news source added.
Purchasing a caravan insurance policy may now be a good idea for the couple, should their vehicle suffer from accidental damage or theft once they buy it.
However, Mrs Cable has insisted that the pair "have not got expensive tastes". She told the publication: "We've been married 37 years and only had two sofas."
This follows the Lotto success of the Prance family from south Wales, who earlier this year scooped £6.9 million on the Lotto.
Following their win, they revealed their intention to create a Millionaire's Row at a caravan park in Porthcawl.
