Extra plots planned at Fylde caravan park
Officials at a caravan park located in Fylde are hoping that their plans to add extra plots to their site will be approved by local planners, it has been reported.
According a report in the Blackpool Gazette, Lamaleach Caravan Park bosses will have their plans assessed by the council's Development Control Committee on June 4th.
They will then know if they will be allowed the extra spaces at the Freckleton attraction.
But it may be that the new plots result in increased caravan insurance policies at the park, as some cover firms may view them as a potential risk and put up prices.
This may be an industry-wide initiative if caravan holidays make the comeback predicted by the National Caravan Council this summer.
According to Times Online, the body has claimed that people will look to the vacations as a cheaper way of taking a break over the season.
It added that this comes in the wake of the credit crunch, which could potentially see a number of families struggle to make ends meet if they go away this summer.
