'Greater amounts taking a caravan break'
More people are turning to caravan holiday breaks this summer, a holiday firm has reported.
According to Haven Holidays, there has been a 30 per cent increase in the number of people booking July and August holidays in the last three weeks.
This follows the group's investment of more than £40 million in its parks, about which it stated it aimed "to meet and exceed guest expectations".
The vehicles at its sites now feature a number of attractions including horse-riding facilities, tennis courts and golf courses, while a number of its caravans have modern contemporary kitchen attributes.
However, it may be that the top-end vehicles attract higher caravan insurance policy prices when people are looking for cover.
"Caravan holidays remain fantastic value for money with a wide range of activities on their holidays at no extra cost and a full entertainment programme to keep all the family happy," commented Haven Holidays.
The holiday company has a number of sites in different regions of the UK, including Presthaven Sands in Wales, Craig Tara in Scotland and the Orchards park in the south-east of England.
