BBC festival goers encouraged to plan route
The Highways Agency has urged those people attending the BBC Summer Festival at the NEC in Birmingham this week to plan their route, check traffic conditions in advance and leave enough time for their journey.
More than 135,000 visitors are expected at the event, which runs from June 11th to 15th. Among the attractions are BBC Gardeners' World Live, the BBC Good Food show, BBC Countryfile and Good Homes magazine.
The Highways Agency will be sponsoring BBC Countryfile magazine's UK Tourism and Great Days Out area this year, with presenter Ben Fogle set to give sessions on various activities and attractions around the UK.
Phil Treacher, operations manager of the agency's national traffic control centre, said: "With so many great destinations to choose from, the UK has so much to offer all year round. To avoid delays and disappointment, ensure you check the travelling conditions and plan how to get there before you set off."
Caravan firm Willerby will be in attendance at the BBC Summer Festival this year, and will also be making stops that The Royal Highland Show and the National Park Home and Leisure Lodge Show. During the events, it will be displaying a selection of its finest caravans, lodges and holiday homes.
