Caravan holidays 'are becoming more popular'

There has been an increase in the number of people heading away for a caravan holiday this year, according to an industry body.

Homes Worldwide has stated that figures released by camping group Canvas Holidays show a rise between ten and 20 per cent over the last six months in those making camping bookings.

But once away, 29 per cent of respondents feel that they need between three or four days before they can begin to truly unwind and relax, the company added.

Those looking to head away on a camping trip of any kind should looking to take out a caravan insurance policy in order to make sure their vehicle is protected in any eventuality.

And the news source commented on 'glamping' - which is a term used to describe glamorous camping as exercised by celebrities such as Eastenders actress Patsy Palmer and Take That singer Mark Owen.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail has stated that tour operators are charging more to families looking to go away this year, by around ten per cent.
