Improvements announced for caravan site
Improvements have been announced for a caravan site in Woodhall Spa, according to a local news source.
East Lindley District Council has decided to implement some £1.45 million-worth of improvements after a meeting on Tuesday, according to the Horncastle News.
However, among the plans is the axing of touring caravans at the site, with the area being replaced by a new national standard croquet pitch, the news source added.
It may be that with fewer caravans in the area, the cost of caravan insurance for local people goes down as there is less chance of a collision with another motor home.
Local councillor Adam Grist remarked that officials in the region are now looking "forward to a bright shiny facility".
Meanwhile, research conducted this week by caravan specialist Protyre found that people are not carrying out checks on their vehicles before heading on holiday.
The company estimated that close to two million people are not assessing the condition of their motor homes as part of their vacation preparations.
