Safety checks at caravan sites set for next week
Welsh caravan sites will be under examination this week as part of a new initiative from local health authorities, according to a local news source.
Parks in Conwy, Gwynedd, Wrexham and Flintshire will be subjected to check-ups from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the Daily Post has stated.
On Monday the scheme was launched at Caerwys View Caravan Park in Flintshire, the publication added.
Holidaymakers looking to take a caravan break in Wales may find that the results of the assessments help them pick a park in which to relax. It could also assist them when picking out a caravan insurance policy.
"This inspection programme is designed to ensure sites have adequately addressed the risks associated with both traffic and gas usage," commented Gary Martin, HSE inspector.
Caravan owners were earlier this month given hints on how best to keep their vehicles safe over the summer.
According to Doncaster Police Crime Reduction Unit, fitting a reliable alarm as well as making sure doors and windows are locked when the caravan is unattended will help those with motor homes.
