Caravan plans 'to be pushed through by officials'

Plans to construct and operate a caravan site near Workington may go through once they are recommended by local officials, it has been reported.

This comes despite the fact that the 100-pitch park has not been welcomed by residents in the area, according to the Times & Star.

Indeed, the news source added that 13 letters of objection have so far been sent to officials, in addition to joint letters from residents which outline their concerns about the park's potential inpact on local traffic.

People may also find that the increased number of caravans has an effect on caravan insurance policies in the area, as it could be that cover firms see the extra vehicles as indicative of a greater risk.

The Times & Star added that the Cumbria Tourist board is to recommend that the site is pushed through.

Meanwhile, a static caravan park in North Yorkshire is to be auctioned off, according to a news source in the area.

The Darlington and Stockton Times has stated that the site and adjoining Church Farm House will being in more than £1 million when it goes under the hammer.
