New caravan park at Pendle View?
Pendle View in Burnley may become a destination for holidaymakers if proposals for a new caravan park are approved.
Bosses at a garden centre have submitted plans to Burnley council to convert vacant land adjoining their business into a caravan site, reports the Lancashire Telegraph.
They are aiming to create a site that will hold around 200 vehicles, which they hope will improve trade at the garden centre.
Offices for the new business would be created on the first floor of the existing potting shed at the garden centre.
To ensure the security of its prospective residents, a two-metre close boarded fence will be erected around the compound which will be entered by lockable gates.
People thinking of purchasing a caravan, either for a holiday or to live in, should ensure that they have suitable motor caravan insurance to cover their vehicle in the event of theft or accident.
In related news, a busy caravan site in East Yorkshire had a cash machine stolen from the premises in the early hours of the morning of July 14th.
Police believe that someone at the site must have seen something and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
