Dialysis on offer at caravan park

A caravan park in north Wales has opened a kidney dialyses machine for holidaymakers who need to receive the treatment - and is about to welcome its first patient.

Those interested in UK caravan insurance may be interested to hear that the Dinlee Caravan Park, near Caernarfon has now opened a portable centre to house the machine, the BBC reports.

It made the move following a request by the a health authority, which noted many of its patients holidayed in the region but were unable to stay because of their condition.

John Hanby, the park's assistant manager, told the broadcaster the facility is aimed at those enjoying caravan holidays.

"Two patients can be treated at the same time, and a Freeview TV has been set up for them in the unit," he continued.

However, the local health authority are paying for the pitch their unit is situated on, although Mr Hanby did not say whether or not they would be investing in static caravan insurance for the machines.

Recently, the AA urged caravan fans to invest in touring caravan insurance, noting that three-quarters of the units stolen are never recovered.

It added that as caravans become more luxurious, thieves are more likely to target them.
