Fashionable caravan designs unveiled
New designs intended to make caravanning a more fashionable pastime have been unveiled by an industrial design graduate from Dorset.
David Tonkinson, 23, has designed Caravan Pods that fold away and can be towed by smaller cars, while also being able to offer spacious interiors when stretched out, the Daily Telegraph reports.
The caravans also boast room for two adults, a water system, a power source and storage space.

Users can also take televisions and other electrical items with them, as the pods also feature six power sockets.
Mr Tonkinson said: "Caravans and caravanning are regarded among younger generations as a dated and old-fashioned pastime.
"I wanted to create a novel, two-person caravan that appeals to a fashion-conscious user. It also had to be small and lightweight enough to be towed by a small car."
He added that the rounded shape of the pods was based on an idea of dividing a caravan in two "to allow it to expand and compact".
Nikki Nichol, head of PR at the Caravan Club, recently said that caravans have "progressed hugely" over the years.
She claimed that many people's perceptions of caravanning holidays are "stuck in the 70s".
