Caravan park enjoys fund day in the rain
A fun day organised by a caravan park in Bexhill may have seen plenty of rain, but it didn't prevent the organisers from raising plenty of money for charity.
Winchelsea Beach Caravan managed to raise £1059.30 on behalf of two local causes - Winchelsea Beach Babies and Rye Bay Football Club, the Bexhill Observer reports.
According to the newspaper, the park's manager John Dudley and his wife Nina were joined in the festivities by caravan owners and their friends.

A barbeque, several raffles, children's games and competitions all went down a treat, despite the bad weather.
Mr Dudley told the newspaper: "The weather was not very good at all, but everyone rallied round and made the day a big success.
"We are all very pleased that we managed to beat the rain and get so much for two good local causes."
Winchelsea's fundraising efforts follow those of another caravan park earlier this month.
The Winsdord Guardian reports that staff at Lakeside Caravan Park in Stocks Hill hosted a two-day fundraising? day in aid of two caner charities, Christies and St Luke's.
In total, the fund day raised £1,140, according to the newspaper.
