Haven Holiday parks may have a great deal to offer caravan insurance customers attempting to make the most of current good weather.

According to the firm, the weather in September was a "revelation" and has given the country a "classic Indian summer".

"This has led to more people than ever choosing to enjoy a short break on the coast, and increasing numbers are opting to stay in one of the holiday parks provided by Haven," the company said.

Haven stated that a number of its caravan parks across the country offer fishing lakes, golf courses, tennis courts and other outdoor pursuits.

All its parks also offer swimming pools, most of which are fully heated indoor pools so regardless of the weather visitors can still enjoy the facilities.

There are currently 35 Haven parks across the UK ensuring people "won't need to travel too far for their weekend away".

A spokesperson for the Caravan Club recently claimed that the credit crunch may have prompted more people to take caravan holidays this year.

The expert said that people also "appreciate the freedom and flexibility" offered by caravan holidays, while some feel domestic holidays represent "better value".
