Van and car in Croydon crash

A police van collided with a car in Croydon last weekend, clearly underlining the importance of good car and van insurance.

A van insurance company can provide cover for damage to the vehicle, and injuries to driver and passengers, in the traumatic event of a road accident.

The police van was patrolling the area, when it hit a Saab at the junction of Thornton Road and Silverleigh Road in Thornton Heath.

The van then continued into a nearby wall, where a witness said it looked like it had been "buried".

Two policewomen were diagnosed with whiplash, while the driver and passenger in the Saab were in shock. However, they had all left their vehicles by the time firefighters arrived to check the scene.

Occurring at around 6.15pm on Friday 24th, the witness told icCroydon: "It was in the middle of the rush-hour so the traffic was already horrendous."

Your cheap van insurance policy should cover most medical costs sustained in an accident, with the option of a replacement vehicle if the van itself needs to be repaired.

Cheaper van insurance can be obtained if you limit the number of named drivers or make the insurance company aware of lower than average mileage.
