Satnav 'top of the list' for female drivers
Satnav systems top the list of the most wanted gadgets for female motorists, according to a poll.
Women, including those using their vehicles to tow and who will need to have the correct caravan insurance in place, want to ensure they do not get lost on their trips.
The survey, conducted on behalf of GM Fleet, shows that most female drivers want a satnav device built in to their next car.
Many also said they would look for features such as an MP3 dock and climate control, suggesting that entertainment and comfort are also the key when taking a caravan trip.
Other options that women said they look for include sun roofs, parking sensors and infotainment systems.
Less than ten per cent listed environmental credentials or lower fuel consumption as important factors when buying a new car, suggesting they are more concerned about motoring issues, such as the cost of caravan insurance.
Almost half of those surveyed said their stereo is the most important thing in their current vehicle, followed by climate control.
Earlier this week drivers were reminded to use their headlights this winter in order to avoid having an accident and making a claim on their caravan insurance.
Research from esure revealed that over half of UK motorists have driven after dark without their headlights on at least once.
