New swap site launched for caravan owners
A new networking website has been launched to help offer caravan insurance customers around the world more affordable international holidays.
According to the Times, motorhomeholidayswap.com was set up by Northumbrian painter and decorator Chris Farrow to allow motorhome owners across the world to make contact with like-minded holidaymakers.
Once they have done so, caravanners can arrange swap deals for an agreed period - allowing them to holiday in mobile homes across the globe at no extra cost.
The site boasts that it enables caravan enthusiasts to experience holidays and travel adventures that they "could only dream of previously", offering various destinations and mobile homes to suit all families.
"You will make contact and get to know your exchange partner through us, and make sure that you are happy with all aspects of the exchange before you commit," the website states.
Annual registration to the scheme will cost £45, although the site says it will waive the fee for the first 900 members who sign up.
Those partaking in the scheme will be reminded of the need to ensure that their vehicle is fully covered by their caravan insurance before doing so.
