Karaoke caravan available for hire

Party throwers looking to kickstart their event can hire a "psychedelic caravan" featuring karaoke equipment to entertain guests.

The novel invention, named the Karavanaoke, includes a touchscreen karaoke machine with more than 1,500 favourite tunes and a full PA system, Event Magazine reports.

Two microphones are included for those who do not fancy singing unaccompanied, and the vehicle also features air conditioning and essential party features such as a laser, smoke machine and LED wall lights.

The Karavanaoke, which originally started out as a 1984 Cotswold Windrush 2 Caravan, is available for hire from £3,500 with assistant and technician included.

Meanwhile, owners of more conventional mobile homes were again reminded of the importance of taking out full caravan insurance cover on their vehicles.

Firefighters in Hereford were called in the early hours of this morning to extinguish a blaze at a vehicle parked in the driveway of a property that is being treated as suspected arson.

According to the Hereford Times, the flames had spread to another vehicle in the driveway and were threatening neighbouring properties, with the porch of one nearby property catching fire.

"The caravan was gutted and is a right off," said Alec Mackie, press officer for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.
