Honda lets you drive away
Honda is extending its seven day Driveaway insurance cover to all new and used cars following high demand for the extra when buying the new Civic model.
The idea is that customers don't need to worry about securing their cheap annual car insurance prior to leaving the showroom. They can just drive away with their new car and the one-off weeklong cover provided by Honda.
At the time of purchase customers make a call to Hondacare, after which an email is sent to the dealer confirming the seven-day insurance cover and the car is taxed as usual.
Customers are then free to shop around for their annual cheap car insurance at their leisure, comparing the policies' small prints and asking about any discounts or other details.
The offer is open to all customers who possess a full, valid UK driving licence, have not been banned from driving and whose car is not used for a commercial purpose.
Further information is available from authorised Honda dealerships.
Cheap car insurance covers third party liability, fire and theft, as well as medical and repair costs in the event of an accident.
Car insurance is usually more expensive for younger drivers with less experience, so check what young driver cheap car insurance is available on the market before committing to an annual policy.
