Resident hits out at caravan owner
A resident in Alloa has blasted one caravan insurance customer in the area for leaving their vehicle parked outside her house for four months.
Thirty-seven-year-old mother Jamie Tanner, who lives in Thorne Road, said the caravan posed a real threat to children and pedestrians in the neighbourhood because it obstructs the view of motorists.
Mrs Tanner said several neighbours had expressed their concern at the positioning of the vehicle, prompting environmental health officials to ask for the owner to move it.
However, this had only resulted in the caravan being moved a few feet, even closer to her house.
Police and council officials have since said that it is legally parked and does not cause an obstruction, telling Mrs Tanner that there is nothing they can do to move it.
Despite the ruling, she is convinced that the vehicle makes it dangerous for children playing in the street.
"You know what kids are like and if the ball rolls onto the road they will go after it. With the caravan blocking a driver's view who knows what could happen," she said.
Meanwhile, a parked caravan in Wellingborough has been left severely damaged after being set alight by arsonists, according to the Northants Evening Telegraph.
