£3.5 million leisure complex for caravan park
Caravan insurance customers looking for a little bit of luxury during their time away may welcome plans for a new £3.5 million leisure complex at one site.
From June 2009, visitors to Fell End caravan park in Milnthorpe will have access to a variety of facilities including a swimming pool, bars and restaurants, according to the Morecambe News.
Developers expect final planning permission by Christmas, with building work set to begin towards the beginning of next year.
This should allow the site to be unveiled in readiness for an influx of visitors next summer, with the facilities expected to attract large numbers.
John Morphet, owner of Pure Leisure Group, said: "Our investment in Fell End Caravan Park emphasises how we continually strive to better cater for our customers' needs."
.Other features at the site will include a steam room and gym for the more health conscious holidaymakers.
Meanwhile, the increase in the number of young families turning to caravanning trips for their summer breaks is also catered for, with a children's soft play area combined with a modern retail outlet to offer entertainment for young and old.
UK travellers may also consider a number of sites in Scotland this summer after Aberdeenshire Council's 11 holiday parks were handed awards for top customer service at this year's Northern Lights Tourism Awards.
