Mystery motorhome concerns local residents

A mystery motorhome in Bexhill-on-Sea has emerged as a matter of concern for residents in the town.

Locals are unsure as to how the vehicle came to be parked near a bus stop on De La Warr Road, according to the Bexhill-on-Sea Observer.

One resident told the newspaper that he suspected the motorhome may even be stolen after admitting that he had seen no one coming or going from the vehicle since it first turned up.

"I woke up one morning and it was there. It has been there so long and nothing has been done," said Charles Sheddon.

Sussex police claimed that they have received no complaints about the motorhome, which is deemed to be legally parked and contains a correct tax disc.

However, residents are concerned that it could prove a hazard for motorists in the area, particularly in light of recent work being carried out on the road.

"It causes so much obstruction. At the moment - with workmen relaying the pavements up here, and lorries there now, and near the bus stop - the motorhome is causing havoc," Mr Seddon explained.

Owners who leave their mobile homes parked on busy roads rather than putting them into storage for the winter may need to take extra care to ensure any potential damage to their vehicles is covered on their caravan insurance.
