Retro motorhome unveiled
A new retro-looking Bambi caravan has been unveiled by Airstream at the National Boat, Caravan & Outdoor Show.
The Bambi 422 was on show at the event in Birmingham, potentially appealing to caravan insurance policyholders with its compact yet stylish look and low weight.
Stuart Hicks, Airstream director of European sales and marketing, commented that the latest model should better meet the needs of European customers, HonestJohn.co.uk reports.
"The new Bambi brings European Airstreams within the reach of far more people. Lightweight and nimble, the two-berth Bambi 422 has been redesigned to meet the needs of European Airstreamers and sets a new standard for ease of use," he stated, adding: "Perfect for those who want to just hitch up and go!"
Because the model is so lightweight, caravannners do not need a 4x4 to tow it.
Mr Hicks added that the motorhome is one of Airstreams lightest ever models, allowing mid-size cars to tow the vehicle without adversely impacting on fuel efficiency.
Features inside the model include a wash room with shower cubicle, a vacuum flush toilet and an L-shaped lounge.
Airstream states that the model is also an appealing option because it is a collectible trailer that boasts higher resale values than alternatives.
