Caravan is blessed by Welsh Archbishop
A caravan in south Wales has received a blessing from the Archbishop of Wales, caravan insurance policyholders may be interested to read.
The luxury caravan at Trecco Bay, Porthcawl, was blessed with Holy Water by Dr Barry Morgan upon request by church-based organisation the Mothers' Union, WalesOnline.co.uk reports.
According to the website, this is the fourth caravan the organisation has funded as part of a project spanning 20 years, which aims to provide holidays for families and carers who would otherwise not get a break.
The group has 3.6 million members across the globe and works in 79 countries.
This latest model cost £30,000 and is fitted with central heating. Archbishop Morgan, who said he was "delighted" to perform the ceremony, previously blessed another of the caravans when he was Bishop of Llandaff.
Llandaff Mothers' Union action and outreach coordinator Raye Saunders commented: "We get people here who haven't been on holiday for years and children who have never even had a holiday before."
Archbishop Morgan added: "This is a tangible way in which churches are helping families in need."
