Mobile homes 'can enhance the festival experience'

Britons planning a festival trip this year are being urged to rent a caravan to get the most from the experience.

Celtic Campervans has suggested that festival-goers utilise a mobile home if planning to travel to Glastonbury to experience the benefits afforded by a caravan.

Offering motorhomes from two to six berths at a reasonable price, the firm states that utilising a mobile home for such trips can have wider ranging benefits than just offering a private place to shower and use the toilet.

"A safe, secure, watertight and sheltered haven to come back to after hours spent either in scorching sunshine or - more likely - muddy puddles is perhaps the finest luxury, as it means every day at the festival you awake refreshed and ready to enjoy more of the attractions," the company suggested.

This year sees Glastonbury introduce a field specially to be used by caravanners looking for somewhere to pitch their vehicle.

Motorhomers might want to ensure they invest in a caravan insurance policy to cover their trips.

Writing in the Times last month, host of BBC 4's The Late Edition stand-up comedian Marcus Brigstocke said that his motorhome is a must-have for festival visits.
