MP to present caravan park award

A North Devon MP will today visit award-winning Hidden Valley Caravan Park to present its most recent accolade.

Caravan insurance policyholders may be interested to read that the site recently won the National Caravan Park of the Year Award at the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence, organised by VisitEngland.

The park, near Ilfracombe, is run by owners Dawn and Martin Fletcher.

Mrs Fletcher commented that the team is proud to have won the award.

"Everyone here at Hidden Valley works hard to offer outstanding service to all our customers all year round, and so it feels great to win such top accolades and prestigious awards," she stated.

According to the couple, bookings for the park are coming in droves, with the site anticipating a bumper year.

MP Nick Harvey said that he is looking forward to presenting the accolade following the exciting news that the park had won, describing it as "a welcome feather in the cap for tourism in general in North Devon".

Caravanning seems to be enjoying a boom in the UK currently, with TravelMole.co.uk recently reporting that calls about caravanning and camping breaks increased by 103 per cent in the first three months of this year.
