Entrepreneur runs business from mobile home
An aging entrepreneur has shunned retirement in favour offsetting up a new business information service, run from a mobile home.
Jim Rogerson, aged 59, sold his home in Inverness and purchased a motorhome, which has been specially adapted for the business, the Daily Express reports.
The accountant has said he plans to tour the globe in the vehicle with his wife Marion, dishing out business advice along the way.
He told the publication that he sold his house - which the couple designed - because "life is about the journey rather than the destination".
"The motor home is just ideal. It is a fabulous machine. It's like a hotel suite," he stated.
Mr Rogerson's Caterpillar C7 - an 8.3-litre motorhome - boasts luxurious features such as leather reclining seats and marble worktops, which he may want to ensure are covered by a caravan insurance policy.
The couple have said they will settle for a short time at each destination and live like the locals, using bicycles to get around.
Mr Rogerson may be just one of the Britons increasingly investing in mobile homes, as The Caravan Company reported that sales of caravans in January were the firm's best since 2003.
