New guide issued for Cumbria caravan owners

Britons considering a caravan trip to Cumbria or the Lake District this year might want to order a copy of the newly-published 2009 Caravan, Camping and Holiday Home Guide.

Cumbria Tourism has printed off a number of the booklets, which are also available to download for environmentally-conscious caravan insurance policyholders.

The latest booklet provides advice and information on places to stay or pitch a caravan across the region and has been launched just in time for this year's National Camping and Caravanning Week, which runs between May 23rd and 29th.

According to the guide, the region offers a variety of holiday styles, from family-centred parks with swimming pools and spas, to sites near to places offering outdoor activities such as sailing or fell-walking.

Various events have been outlined to take place in Cumbria this month, which may be of interest to caravan insurance customers planning a visit.

Among the events is the Keswick Mountain Festival, which will take place from May 13th to 17th. Those participating in the festival will have the chance to try out water-related activities, as well as climbing, scrambling and mountain biking.
