Caravan site re-jig set for approval
Caravan insurance policyholders planning a trip to West Norfolk may find that the mobile homes have been rearranged at Pentney Lakes and Leisure Park.
The Lynn News reports that plans to keep and reorganise up to 30 mobile homes at the site look set to be approved by the local council.
Luxurious Leisure, which made the application, wants to change use of land permission of land at two areas to allow for the rearrangements.
The caravans will be used by the Pentney Lakes Water Ski Club and the firm plans to add more of the vehicles, which at present are placed outside the sites.
A number of objections have been made to the plans, which some believe would increase traffic in the area and spoil the appearance of the local landscape.
However, reports have suggested that the mobile homes would only remain at the sites from April to October and would only be occupied for up to 28 days at a time.
Between November and March, owners could keep the vehicles in storage and then move the mobile homes to other sites at other times.
A caravan site for 78 vehicles is also set to be built and Lartington in Teesdale, despite objections, the Teesdale Mercury reports.
