Caravan park shortlisted for award
A Cumbria caravan park was shortlisted for a 2009 Cumbria Tourism Award, which were given out this week.
Park Cliffe Caravan Park in Windermere was a finalist in the contest, which recognises the best tourism businesses in the area.
Despite not winning an award, the park is one of the country's top three attractions and holiday parks, the Lakeland Echo reports.

The event - organised by Cumbria Tourism - took place at the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal and was presided over by actor and broadcaster, Ted Robbins.
Ian Stephens, chief executive at Cumbria Tourism, commented that the local tourism industry has excelled itself and is leading the way for the rest of the country.
"This is all the more important this year as increasing numbers of people look to stay in this country for their holidays," he added.
Meanwhile, Caravan Magazine is currently inviting readers to vote in its polls to find which caravan and camping sites across the UK are the public's favourites.
A definitive list of the top 101 sites will then be compiled based on the responses received by the publication.
