Mobile homes recognised at awards event

Britons thinking of investing in a new caravan may find that a recent awards ceremony can help them decide on a new model.

The Hambleton Hall Hotel in Rutland hosted the Which Motorcaravan Awards, where motorhomes of all types were recognised for their features, Out and About Live reports.

Among the winners was the Burstner Nexxo Family 694, which scooped the hotly contested Motorhome of the Year accolade as well as the family mobile home award, potentially making it a good choice for consumers looking for a good all-round offering to take on family breaks.

The tiny Mooveo P600 won the Budget Buy award while the Romahome R40 was named the year's most compact offering - potentially suiting caravan insurance customers looking to invest in a practical model.

Awards were given out in 12 categories in total, with some models recognised for specific elements such as interior design, which went to the Adria Polaris. The Westfalia Big Nugget XL claimed the Editor's Choice award.

In a separate event, Swift's Escape model recently scooped four awards for design, emerging the overall winner after beating 33 competitors.
