Australia's largest caravan and camping show takes place this week as the industry gears up for a hectic summer season.
The Brisbane Times reports that the Queensland Caravan, Camping and Touring Holiday Show will arrive in the city on June 3rd and will remain until June 9th, offering caravan enthusiasts the chance to see some of the newest and most interesting items in the industry on display.
As well as impressive and extravagant caravans, there will also be a wide variety of smaller motorhomes that are aimed at people on a budget, as the global economy has helped make caravanning a fashionable holiday activity once again.
Caravan insurance help will also be on hand at the show, as a growing number of people are expected to head off on caravanning holidays for the first time this year, meaning they will need plenty of advice on how to insure their new purchase and the trip in its entirety.
This year's event, at Brisbane's RNA Showgrounds, is expected to attract a big audience and organisers are hopeful it could be the expo's best year ever.
The growth of the event highlights the increasing interest in caravanning around the world, with the UK also expected to see plenty of caravanners this year.
More people are expected to remain in the UK for their summer holiday this year, with predictions of a hot summer and the fact that the global recession means people have less money to spend on flights resulting in a greater number likely to head off on caravanning holidays.
