A range of caravan owners and users have praised their vans for the holiday potential they provide.

Caravan insurance customers may be interested to read that a recent report in the Sunday Sun has pulled together a range of caravan users and polled their comments on how they find their caravan holidays.

Speaking to the paper, director at marketing and communications firm Stark Hartley Atkinson Helen Clark, 48, from Low Westwood, told the paper that she and her family opted for a static caravan rather than an overseas holiday home.

She explained that the van presents wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and lets her family holiday there hassle free. Ms Clark explains that advantages include the level of luxury her van has and that the surrounding grounds are maintained by someone else.

At £30,000, the director also said the holiday option presented good value for money.

Last month, a representative from the Caravan Club explained that caravan holidays had changed dramatically since the 1970s.

Nikki Nichol - the club's head of public relations, said that if members of the public "haven't caravanned since the 70s, [they] will be pleasantly surprised to see the improvements and advancements that have been made as regards to functionality and style".

"There's a lot to be pleased about," she said.
