With Britons increasingly taking mobile home holidays, caravan insurance is not the only vital element drivers should consider before heading off for a break.
Statistics have shown that 13 million Britons could take a caravan holiday this year, with an estimated 500,000 of the trailers being used regularly.
Because of this increased use, motorists could find that they need caravan insurance to cover wear and tear.
Director-general of the National Caravan Council John Lally said: "There is widespread evidence that existing caravan owners are using their caravans more and with the increased interest in caravan holidays we're experiencing, it could result in more than two million extra holidays being taken in Britain this year."
Car care firm Armor All is urging drivers to invest in products that will help ensure a safe start to the holiday season.
The company's tyre foam and tyre shine products can offer long-term protection for caravan wheels, while the range of windscreen products can cleanse glass and even remove baked-on bugs.
Caravanners were recently warned by the Association of British Drivers to beware the dangers of snaking when taking a mobile home holiday, as driving too fast can cause the trailer to sway across the road.
