Caravan insurance policyholders might have greater choice of accommodation in Derby if the city is chosen to host the World Cup.
Some 12 cities are competing to be named the host region for either the 2018 or 2022 matches, with Derby hoping to sway the vote by offering a wide variety of places for visitors to stay.
As well as its current camping and caravan sites and hotels, the city has promised to double the amount of accommodation on offer if it is selected to stage the event, the Derby Telegraph reports.
"We are offering a good cross-section of hotels and places to stay, not just in terms of budget but also in type," commented Stella Birks, visitor services and development manager at Derby city council.
She went on to say the city would offer a good variety of accommodation to cater for the varying needs of visitors.
"If people want self-catering, full service, half-board and so on, we should be able to provide them all," Ms Birks added.
Among the other cities hoping to be chosen to host the events are Nottingham, Hull and Milton Keynes.
