Holidaymakers taking a break in their mobile home got more action than they bargained for at one caravan site this summer.
Angry residents at Moray holiday park have said that if the local authority tries to evict them they will burn their caravans to cinders in retaliation.
The move comes after police launched an investigation into fraud at the Silver Sands site at Lossiemouth, with some caravan owners suspected of parking without paying.
Problems have been caused by handwritten receipts that have been issued to guests of the caravan site, which are easy to fake.
Caravan owners have threatened to lock themselves into their caravans.
However, the Green Parks company, which bought Silver Sands in 2007, has reassured those staying on the site that no one will be evicted until the situation has been clarified.
One enraged 60-year-old, who is a permanent resident of the park, told the Press and Journal: "I intend to claim squatter's rights.
"There would be a big fire in Lossiemouth if they tried to throw me off the site because I'd rather burn the caravan down than let them have it."
Hopefully the caravan park where Welsh Assembly member Rhodri Morgan says he conducts his official business from while on holiday is a little calmer.
