The number of motorhome insurance policyholders in West Yorkshire could be on the increase, as a local firm is looking to expand its operations.
WildAx Motorhomes told the Telegraph and Argus that it is bucking the credit crunch and business is currently booming, expecting additional growth over the coming years.
Set to grow by 50 per cent annually over the next few years, the company, which produces luxury mobile homes, plans to take on another five members of staff to continue its service to motorhome insurance policyholders looking for a high quality model.
"The market for our high-quality vehicles remains remarkably buoyant and we are looking at expanding the business still further next year by launching a rental service and opening an accessory shop; we already sell accessories online," commented former physics teacher Duncan Wildman, who launched the business three years ago.
WildAx makes mobile homes built around the Citroen Relay chassis and mainly bought by retirees, the publication states.
Meanwhile, the Bath branch of motorhome firm Hayes Leisure is set to close so the company can relocate to Birmingham to allow for expansion, the Bath Chronicle recently reported.
