A mobile home firm has said that more people are learning of the joys that owning one of these vehicles can bring.
Tyne Valley Motorhomes, established 15 years ago, is enjoying a bumper year, nebusiness.co.uk reports.
A visit to Yorkshire's Pickering Show has helped to buoy the firm's sales by 35 per cent while the company is also cashing on the increasing number of Britons weathering the credit crunch by taking holidays at home.
"More and more people are discovering that owning a motorhome is a great way to enjoy regular breaks away with all the mod cons of home close to hand and when you consider the cost of an average family holiday in Europe, it is very cost-effective too," commented managing director Jonathan Bell.
The firm stocks various new models by brands such as Bessacarr, Auto Cruise Elddiss and Excel, while also boasting a good range of used stock that may appeal to budget-conscious motorhome and caravan insurance policyholders.
Another firm making the most of the economic downturn is WildAx Motorhomes in West Yorkshire.
The company recently told the Telegraph and Argus that it expects to grow by 50 per cent annually over the next few years.
