Caravan insurance customers were likely to be among the crowds gathering at one of the UK's largest caravan and motorhome events last week.
The Caravan Extravaganza, in Cottingham, east Yorkshire, attracted more than 25,000 visitors to the two-day show, claimed This is Hull and East Riding.
The figures are believed to show a rise of at least 10,000 from the previous year and 2,000 more than the highest level of attendance ever recorded.
Organiser David Ritchie of the National Caravan Council told the local news source: "This has become a national event. We have one of the largest ranges of static homes in Europe and people have travelled from Scotland, Wales, and London to see them.
"The industry is certainly picking up and manufacturers are doing great business, despite a less than brilliant summer with the weather."
The ever rising popularity of the staycation - where Britons holiday within the UK - is partly credited with the increased interest in caravanning events this year.
Those who missed the event and are still keen to gain some insider tips or see the latest models on offer may be pleased to hear there is still plenty of time to book tickets for this year's Caravan and Motorhome Show in Birmingham.
The exhibition is set to take place from October 13th to 18th in the city's NEC Arena.
