England international Rio Ferdinand might want to want to invest in a caravan insurance policy for a new vehicle following his trip to Haven site in North Wales.
The multi millionaire footballer recently spent a family holiday with his wife and two children at Presthaven Sands in Prestatyn.
While many may be choosing a UK holiday to save money this year, Ferdinand spared no expense with his choice of the top-of-the-range Prestige caravan priced at £400 for a weekend.
Speaking to the Times, a spokesperson for holiday operator Haven, said: "He had a very lovely time. He was mobbed by young lads on the park but was quite affable about it all. He signed autographs and then tried out the go-kart track."
Asked why the sportsman chose a relatively low-cost holiday location, she added: "Perhaps he recognised that with two young children, people like to get a value-for-money family holiday and perhaps children are unimpressed by five-star hotels and would rather have go-karting and football and dancing."
Ferdinand is not the only Brit enjoying the benefits of the compact accommodation, new figures from the UK Tourism Survey revealed the nation's caravanning and camping sector to be up by 24 per cent this year.
