A battered caravan owned by a Suffolk family was given a brand new look after its owners appealed to a TV programme for help, it has been reported.
According to news site EADT.com, the Cooper family, of Stowmarket, are now eagerly anticipating holidaying in their revamped mobile home after it received a facelift from celebrity interior designer Linda Barker.
In a 90-minute makeover broadcast on ITV's This Morning, Barker transformed the old banger into a pink holiday haven.
Julie Cooper, 45, told the news site her daughters were particularly pleased with the results as 17-year-old Jodie has a pink car to match.
Her husband Paul, who may now want to invest in caravan insurance, added that a friend had given them the motorhome after the family enjoyed a holiday in a similar vehicle: "We told him we wouldn't mind getting one ourselves and he said we could have his old caravan. It was in a hell of a state."
In other caravanning news, more than 8,000 people are reported to have gathered in a field in Worcestershire last weekend for the world's largest Volkswagen camper van event.
Vanfest offered enthusiasts live bands, displays, talks and even a camper van cooking competition.
