Britons with mobile homes along the east coast are being offered advice on keeping their vehicles secure.
Potentially helping consumers avoid caravan insurance claims, police are holding special surgeries to advise mobile home owners on ensuring their caravans are safe, the Skegness Standard reports.
The sessions will be held in Ingoldmells and Chapel St Leonards before local caravan sites close for the winter.
"We're holding surgeries just before the sites close in a bid to promote crime reduction and get caravan owners to ensure their property isn't targeted over the winter months," commented police community support officer for Ingoldmells Neighbourhood Policing Team Chris Wood.
Consumers attending the surgeries will benefit from advice and also be able to get their hands on special stickers bearing the words 'valuables removed' to put on their caravan windows.
Britons looking for other ways to enhance their caravan's security could follow tips from Avon and Somerset Constabulary and have their vehicles security marked and fitted with an alarm.
