A caravanning couple from Formby have been credited with helping a mobile home site boost visitors to the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales.
Chris Woodroffe, 66 and his wife Terry, 64, became wardens at the Cae Mawr Caravan Club in Marianglas nine years ago, the Formby Times reports.
Through their hard work, the pair may have helped attract caravan insurance policyholders to the site by raising hospitality levels and supporting local business.
Anglesey Tourism Association managing director Jane Blakey told the publication that the couple had been "fantastic tourism ambassadors for Anglesey".
"They have not only supported local businesses and other attractions, but have stocked local produce on their shop on site and have helped raise accommodation and hospitality standards to a supreme level," she said.
Avid caravanners themselves, the pair are now taking a break back in the Southport area.
But they plan to carry on their love of all things caravans by joining the Caravan Club's Flying Squad and becoming relief wardens.
Cae Mawr Caravan Club is described as a tranquil location close to Anglesey and its beaches and boasting a range of family-friendly activities including, sailing, swimming and riding.
